While I was doing this I thought of some more good moments. What about Behemoth vs. Bigger Brother? Stinger's Series 4 run? Anyway, here's my controversial review of all 50 Moments.
50) Great moment, RC Warrior going down with the pit and then little Beefcake taking on Shunt and Sir Killalot!
49) Nice push and shove battle, this could have gone either way.
48) Never saw this one.
47) 259 was a stunning robot, I think everyone was disappointed when it broke down after such a good fight with Wild Thing.
46) Never saw this one.
45) Nice dog fight there, and I think the Bulldog proved he’s king of the kennel.
44) Never saw this one.
43) Some more awesome flips from Gravity, making Lighting do summersaults. Always nice to see someone take on the house robots again too.
42) This was a great fight from memory, lots of flipping action going on.
41) Great destruction, great fighting, oh, and the fight wasn’t bad either.
40) Great sumo battle, even if Panic fell of the ring.
39) Can’t remember that.
38) Wow, what an awesome flip right across the CPZ.
37) Can’t remember that.
36) Didn’t see the annihilators.
35) Nothing special in my opinion, but a good win for the crab.
34) Great fun to watch, especially Anty B getting trapped under the flipper.
33) It was a great run for Diotior, but adding to the fact that they had only built it on the day made this really special.
32) What a shock, not a fan of Pussycat after knocking Cassius II out in the previous series I was really impressed with this appearance and it became one of my favorites.
31) This was a good melee, up there with some of the top ones from the series.
30) What a load of nonsense…
29) Really should have been the house robot rebellion, great stuff!
28) One of the best ever battles I reckon. Chaos 2 seemed to dominate with its numerous great flips but Wild Thing as always came back strongly and twice had Chaos on the edge of the pit. I thought it was Wild Thing’s match.
27) What an awesome machine Gravity is. Surely 1st or 2nd best flipper ever and it wasn’t even on full power!
26) Ouch! You’ve gotta feel sorry for the Hypno boys here. Broke Bigger Bro’s flipper, almost deshelled it and then fell down the pit.
25) Storm II brought a new era to the sport with its highly technical and expensive components, and deserved to be in the list.
24) Chaos 2 was getting old, and needed some medicine to taste. Aren’t I funny?
23) So unlucky for the German machine, just the right flip and X-Terminator would have been out, but a great recovery earnt them the match well.
22) “The end of the George Francis reign” as JP put it, not a bad battle.
21) Another decent fight, despite the damage sustained to Firestorm I thought it did well to hold on and nearly pit Razer.
20) Like moment 25, Hypno Disc brought a new era to Robot Wars with its original horizontal flywheel. The carnage caused against Robogeddon, Stealth, Steggy and others was awesome!
19) Probably the biggest shock of the wars ever. Hypno Disc after disappointingly being flipped the previous war but coming back with a self-righting arm was surely the best robot in the wars for the title in my opinion. But no, Pussycat which had already proved many surprises just took a great (probably flukey) shot at the wheel and took Hypno out of the contest. What a great moment!
18) Personally, I thought this was one of the worst fights ever, certainly one of the worst climaxes. Disappointing not too see better from these two.
17) Pretty much the opposite to the last moment in my opinion. I thought series three was joint best and I thought the final was fantastic; it would have gone either way. Chaos flips Hypno or Hypno smashes Chaos. The build up was great even if it wasn’t the best fight in the world.
16) I was lucky enough to see this fight live, and it was just as good if not better than some of the Hypno smash ups. Well-deserved 16th place.
15) I had already seen Tornado win the next series before this heat was broadcast, so it came as a huge surprise. Great laugh, but if anything these moments show what a great robot Diotior actually was.
14) More proof that Gravity simply rocks.
13) Nice melee, the first time we saw the clusterbot and the first showing of Tornado.
12) This was another moment I was lucky enough to see live, and it was definitely something special.
11) Another beginning of an era, flipping a foe out of the arena is now a common tactic, created by that fantastic robot.
10) How on earth did this make the top 10? It was even worse than Storm II vs. Typhoon 2!
9) Some of the best driving ever, from probably the two best drivers ever. Some nice damage caused. Really, I thought both Stinger and Pussycat should have won their judges decisions against Chaos 2.
8) Ouch, probably Hypno’s best performance. Splinter did really well to keep the front towards it at the beginning and push it into Dead Metal, but it soon got the HD treatment…<br>7) Another great Hypno moment, that robot got a severe battering.
6) The end to this battle wasn’t very good, but seeing Gravity and Behemoth toss and pit the house robots early on was great!
5) I managed to see this at Series 7 filming luckily, it was great!
4) I never saw this moment.
3) I was surprised this wasn’t higher actually; again, this was a very, very important moment. It’s now almost essential for your robot to have a self-righter. It was also a moment I never saw.
2) In my view, this was the best moment ever and the best fight ever! I saw this one live too, and it was even better than on TV. Best fight ever, best final ever, best series ever, maybe the best two robots ever.
1) One word to sum up this moment – incredible!
